Ag Repair Technician

Batta Farm Machinery is a family-owned business located in southeast Indiana, between Indianapolis, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio. We sell used hay equipment to customers across the US. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to prepare the equipment for resale. Previous shop experience, knowledge of ag equipment, and/or general mechanics is preferred. The individual with a desire to work hard, put our customers first, and be committed to teamwork will find a friendly work environment with us.

The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:

• Responsible to repair and refurbish ag equipment at the direction of management.
• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment with use of tractors and telehandlers.
• General shop maintenance including cleaning and organizing.
• Driving to deliver and pick up inventory.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
• Work overtime as workload dictates.

Qualifications:

• Energetic and self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task in a complex environment.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Good communication skills.
• Positive attitude with co-workers, management and customers.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work with co-workers and management for troubleshooting and completing repairs.
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
• Prior shop experience preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma.
• Technical school certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license – CDL required.
